Continuation of dependents’ enrollment upon dying of enrollee. Coverage of a dependent within the TRDP beneath an enrollment of a member or surviving partner who dies through the period of enrollment shall proceed until the tip of that interval and may be renewed by the dependent, so long as the premium paid is adequate to cover continuation of the dependent’s enrollment. Coverage may be terminated when the premiums paid are no longer sufficient to cowl continuation of the enrollment. TRDP protection is terminated when the member’s entitlement to retired pay is terminated, the member’s status as a member of the Retired Reserve is terminated, a dependent youngster loses eligible youngster dependent standing, or a surviving spouse remarries. An efficient communication plan that features efforts to coach beneficiaries so as to optimize participation and satisfaction will be applied.
