Benco has been hit hard by the financial crisis, and CEO John Lovett is taking the reins.
He told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Monday that he won’t be covering his employees.
“I think it’s fair to say that Benco’s employees are not going to be covered by our health insurance,” Lovett said.
Lovett added that he’s confident that all of our employees will be covered and we will continue to work with our insurers to keep them covered.
“Lovett, who is currently the chief financial officer for a major insurer, said he has had “very positive” conversations with his health insurance provider.
Aetna has said it will no longer cover Benco, but that it will continue its relationship with the dental provider.
The insurer says it’s confident in the Benco management team and that it plans to continue working with the insurer.
Benco will continue as a provider, Lovett added.
The company’s CEO said that Bencomo and Lovett will be involved in the company’s strategic plans going forward.
Lovet said that the company will continue the work it has done to grow the Bencomos dental practice to more than 500 dental providers across the country.

[It] is something that we’ve worked through and we are not surprised by the recent financial challenges,” Lovet told CNBC.
