How to watch: New free-agency signee Brandon McManus will wear No. 25 for the Cleveland Browns.
That’s the team he played for at Indiana and the team that drafted him in the fourth round in 2012.
The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away.
McManu was selected No. 5 overall in the first round of this year’s draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
I’m not sure why he went to the 49ers, but McManuzan is now with the Browns.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the team uses him.
He’s a pass rusher who is also a kick returner and punt returner.
McManus was drafted as a linebacker in the 4th round.
His play at the NFL Scouting Combine was not impressive.
He ran a 4.41-second 40-yard dash and posted a 38-inch vertical leap.
As a junior in high school, McManuses best season came in his senior season when he finished the year with 18 tackles, 5.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
He was a second-team All-Big Ten pick in 2012, a second team All-American selection in 2013 and was a third-team selection by the NFL Media in 2014.
There is some debate among evaluators about whether McManues size is a liability.
He is 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds.
Mc Manus was a bit undersized at his position in college, but he did play outside linebacker.
Mc Menus also had a lot of experience playing with a lot more pressure than he has at the next level.
One thing I do like about McManuss is that he has some ability to be a disruptive force in space.
I’m not convinced that his size is the main reason why he has struggled at the line of scrimmage this season.
But McMans versatility is what I like about him.
I don’t know how much more he can play in the NFL.
